Our Leadership

How we support quality, improvement, and educator development for your child’s success.

Leading with Purpose

At Dubbo Early Learning Centre, leadership isn’t just about job titles—it’s about being present, supportive, and proactive every day. Our leadership team (Nominated Supervisor, 2IC, Educational Leader, and Approved Provider) works hands-on in rooms to model great teaching, build educator confidence, and ensure children are supported to thrive. Strong leadership creates a strong foundation for children, families, and educators alike.

Always Striving to Improve

We are committed to continuous improvement, which means we are always learning, reflecting, and refining our practice. Educators contribute to our Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) through regular discussions, feedback, and reflection activities based on the National Quality Standard. Whether it’s updating a routine, improving supervision, or responding to a family suggestion, we believe in small changes that make a big difference.

Educational Leadership in Action

Our Educational Leader is in the rooms every day, supporting educators to create meaningful learning experiences. He leads planning meetings, demonstrates practices, reviews reflections, and ensures our program sets high expectations for every child. Parents get to know him through enrolments, learning conversations, and family events—he’s approachable, experienced, and passionate about making learning visible.

Supporting Professional Growth

We don’t just evaluate our educators—we invest in them. Our leadership team supports every educator through regular coaching, feedback, and opportunities to grow. From trainees to room leaders, we help build confidence and capability. We celebrate successes, provide professional development in response to staff goals, and promote from within to strengthen our culture of excellence.

Families as Partners in Leadership

Our families play an important role in service improvement and decision-making. You’ll see this through surveys, open forums, policy feedback, and everyday conversations. We explain who does what, so families know who to approach with a question, suggestion, or concern. Whether you’re new to the service or have been with us for years, your input helps shape how we lead and grow.

Learning from Our Community

Our leadership team builds partnerships with health professionals, cultural advisors, and local organisations to strengthen what we do. We attend medical appointments, learn from therapists, and seek guidance on inclusive practices. These community links help us better support children with additional needs, ensure cultural connection, and keep our team up to date with best practice.
