Our team collaborates to give your child the very best.
At Dubbo Early Learning Centre, we believe strong teamwork leads to better outcomes for children. Our educators, leadership team, and support staff work side by side with mutual respect and a shared commitment to high-quality education and care. We value every voice—whether you’ve been in early childhood for 20 years or just started your journey—and we support each other to grow, reflect, and improve every day.
A Culture of Respect and Support
We maintain open communication where everyone feels safe to share ideas, offer feedback, and speak honestly. Educators are encouraged to reflect on their own practices, and we respectfully challenge one another to improve. Professionalism is at the heart of how we work—we listen to each other, celebrate strengths, and hold each other to high standards that reflect our service philosophy and values.
Shared Decisions, Shared Success
When making important decisions, we involve the right people—whether it’s educators in a room or the leadership team. This shared ownership builds trust and ensures decisions are transparent, fair, and informed by those closest to the children. We also work together to implement performance reviews and clear expectations. The Educational Leader regularly models best practice, helping others step into leadership roles with clarity and confidence.
Learning from One Another
Our team shares ideas, resources, and strategies across rooms. This helps ensure every child benefits from the collective experience and creativity of the entire team. We celebrate strengths through staff awards like “Most Creative,” “Best Poem,” or “Best Excursion Idea.” These simple recognitions help us notice and appreciate the unique talents each educator brings to our service.
Wellbeing and Growth Matter
We’re serious about looking after our team’s wellbeing. That’s why we run wellness activities like painting sessions, treasure hunts, and team-building games. We also provide access to mental health support when needed, including professional services like NALAG. This helps us stay strong, connected, and energised—so we can bring our best selves to work and support your children every day.
Professional Development Pathways
We actively support career progression. Many of our educators have advanced from Certificate III to Diploma and are now studying to become Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs). We offer regular training, mentoring, and workshops so everyone has the chance to grow professionally and build a long-term, fulfilling career in early education.
Embracing Our Diversity
Our team is proudly multicultural and inclusive. We have educators from a wide range of cultural, language, and family backgrounds—including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators—who enrich our environment with diverse stories, perspectives, and practices. This diversity strengthens our program and helps every child and family feel that they belong.
