Our Teachers

Professional Collaboration

At Dubbo Early Learning Centre, our educators and leaders work together with mutual respect and a shared commitment to supporting every child. We hold regular team meetings where ideas are shared, challenges are discussed openly, and everyone’s strengths are valued. Our Educational Leader provides mentoring and support to ensure all team members feel confident in their roles. We celebrate creativity, innovation, and initiative through staff awards and encourage professional development through training, workshops, and leadership pathways.

Supporting Team Wellbeing and Growth

We believe a strong team makes for a strong learning environment. That’s why we’ve introduced initiatives that support staff wellbeing and job satisfaction, including flexible work options, regular wellness activities, and access to counselling through community partners like NALAG. We also ensure educators feel valued by providing growth opportunities and recognising professional achievements—many of our team members have advanced from Certificate III to Diploma and are now studying to become Early Childhood Teachers.

Upholding Professional Standards

Professional behaviour is a non-negotiable at our service. Our educators are guided by clear values, ethics, and expectations in how they interact with children, families, and the community. We maintain high standards for privacy, respectful communication, and cultural inclusion. When we conduct excursions or meet with families, we do so in a way that reflects our service’s values and our role as trusted professionals. Our respectful approach to sensitive issues, like physical contact and consent, ensures every child feels safe and every family feels respected.

Promoting Cultural Respect and Community Connections

Our team reflects the diverse community of Dubbo, with educators from a range of cultural and language backgrounds. We embrace this diversity and integrate cultural knowledge into our teaching and community relationships. Families help guide our understanding of traditions, communication styles, and celebrations, and we use this insight to make learning meaningful and respectful. We also connect with local organisations—like Aboriginal-run services and disability support groups—to enrich our program and build strong community partnerships that benefit every child.
