We plan ahead, ask meaningful questions, offer thoughtful feedback, and provide the right tools so children can wonder, problem-solve, and grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We use open-ended questions to spark curiosity<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll often hear our educators asking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cWhat do you think might happen next?\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cWhy do you think that floated?\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cHow could we make this stronger?\u201d These questions aren\u2019t about right or wrong\u2014they\u2019re about thinking deeply, exploring ideas, and learning to communicate with purpose.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We provide the right tools to extend learning<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We carefully set up environments and resources to match children\u2019s interests. For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the sandpit, we might add pipes, funnels, and measuring cups for water play.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In block play, we offer planks and wheels to support STEM construction ideas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the home corner, you might see real menus, cooking tools, or traditional cultural items from families.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re always asking: \u201cWhat will help the children take this idea further?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We make storytime come alive<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our literacy moments are full of movement, acting, and questions. We use:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Puppets, costumes, and story stones<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Child-led retelling of favourite books<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Questions like \u201cHow do you think the character feels?\u201d to build empathy and comprehension<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We teach through everyday moments<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During meals and routines, we extend learning through conversations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cHow many cups do we need today?\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cWhere do you think this apple came from?\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cCan you help your friend pour the water?\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These daily moments build maths, language, and social skills in natural, engaging ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We intentionally embed children\u2019s cultures, families, and lived experiences in learning. For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Families share traditional recipes, music, or languages that we build into cooking, group time, or storytelling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A parent might bring in firefighter gear or talk about their work in transport or healthcare.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We regularly ask families for ideas to ensure learning feels relevant and connected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We reflect on what works for each child<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We know every child learns differently. After each group experience, we reflect as a team:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Did some children need more props or movement?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who needed small-group support?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What can we adjust tomorrow?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This helps us tailor future experiences to support all learning styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We teach with heart, purpose, and connection<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Intentional teaching is about knowing your child, building trust, and using every moment\u2014from a nappy change to a conversation about clouds\u2014as a way to inspire learning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We don\u2019t just supervise\u2014our teaching is thoughtful, responsive, and intentional.
